Sunday Sights

Did some trout fishing/scouting on Sunday, actually it turned into more scouting than fishing and I caught a whopping two fish. I lost at least a half dozen that came off before I got them in. Must be because I was using the spinning rod. ;) The water temperature was right at sixty six degrees.

Same fish, this is actually the first pic as I was waiting for the sediment I kicked up to clear. I thought the reflection of the fish on the surface was kind of neat.

A few stream side sights...

When I put my pack on the front seat I found I had a hitch hiker.

In the afternoon I took a drive to do a little more scouting, no fishing this time, and got a couple more pics.

I plan on doing some fishing/hunting combo trips this fall. We shall see how that turns out. :)

  1. Is there elk hunting out your way? Awesome photos again, Bill. I think you have the trout's number year round now!

  2. Thanks guys! Casey there is elk hunting here. There are only a certain number of tags and they're chosen by lottery. You're also assigned a certain elk management unit that you have to use that tag in. The elk population here is only in a few counties.
