February Whims

Here are a couple of flies I whipped up on a whim while sitting at the tying desk using materials that were mostly within reach. I'm not sure what to call them but I think I can catch a trout on both of them.

I got a little sloppy with the head cement on this one. The eyes are made of tiny ruffed grouse feathers that I saved just for this purpose, though not necessarily for this fly.

  1. Nice job, Bill! Good looking streamer patterns. I have no doubt that trout will give them a chase no matter what you name them!

I am really impressed with both patterns, and yes both will produce---the first I call the Brown Flag—and the next one is the Silver Pin—just from viewing the both patterns. Thanks for sharing
